    1924: Cover from the American Mission in Minia to Springfield, Illinois franked by 1922 Monarchy opt. 5 m. pink in a strip of five and USA 1923 Airmail 8 c. deep green (Scott C4) all tied by 'Tanta' datestamps on despatch (Aug 16). The cover endorsed at base "Via Air Mail from New York to Chicago" in manuscript and prepaid to facilitate the extra costs of this service. Small opening faults but an extremely rare usage.
