    1593 (April) Doge Pasquale Cicogna, the 88. Doge of Venice (1585-1595): Eleven line Vellum manuscript starting with "Pascalis Ciconia dei gra(cia) dux Veneciensis ex fidelis" etc. with archive notes on top and bottom: 'die faeta fuit mano' (acknowledged by hand). Although the official lead seal is missing, a fine early document. One of his greatest successes was converting the Rialto Bridge, one of Venice's major landmarks and the only bridge over the Grand Canal of Venice, from wood to stone between 1588 and 1591.
