    Mail from France to Greece 1868: Entire letter sent unpaid from Marseille to Athens, endorsed 'voie de Syra' at top, carried on the Paquebot 'Niemen' and struck with circular LIGNE X / PAQ. FR. No. 1 in black (May 18) and with handstruck '90 LEP' in black (van der Linden fig. 3338), the amount due being paid by 1868 10 l. deep orange on very blued paper and a delightful horizontal strip of four 20 l. blue all tied by Athens cds's (May 12, julian). Reverse with Syros cds and further Athens cds. A fresh and very attractive entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 100. Hellas 26+27.
