    1902/03: "Appendix B" sheet from the De La Rue archives, manuscript dated at top "3rd July 1902 / Orange River Colony / Reg. 73/01" with imperforate Essays of the 1 d. value (4) in deep green, sage-green, dull purple and in purple; annotated respectively ½ d., 4 d., 1 d. and 6 d.,rnwith lower half of the page from the 'Day Book' showing 5 further 1 d. imperforate Essays with 1 d. in brown (manuscript 'Approved 2d.'), 1 d. in bright blue (manuscript 'Approved 2½d.'), 1 d. in mauve (manuscript 'Approved 3d.'), 1 d. in yellow-buff (manuscript annotation 'with red centre approved 1/-') and 1 d. in orange brown with manuscript '5/-' and a tick at right. These Essays are illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 5240. A splendid group and unique.
