    Recess by Narciso Desmadryl from Perkins Bacon Plates 1855 (Feb): 5 c. reddish brown, a fine used horizontal strip of three with ample to large margins all round, paying the ½ ounce rate + Sea Postage of 5 centavos on 1856 cover endorsed 'por Vapor' from Copiapo to Valparaiso tied by light strikes of target handstamps in black. COPIAPO despatch cds in black at left (April 20). Ironed bend at top but a charming and scarce franking. Cert. BPA (1992).rnrnProvenance: Collection Gerhard Blank, RL, Dec 1991, lot 981.
