    1842: Registered cover sent prepaid from Cuenca to Guayaquil, struck with oval framed "CUENCA / FRANCA" and superb strike of rare "Certificacion à Cuenca / Salio en 3 de Abril de 1842" both struck in red, the latter with date inserted in manuscript (Harris types 9+10). Receipted internally, a fine and most attractive cover.
