    Overprinted with small 'G' in 2 Types 1878 (June): Cape 6 d. deep lilac, wmk. CC, optd. italic "G" in black, two examples used on 1880 cover to Mrs. Higgs, Hamilton, Bermuda tied by circle of bars handstamps in black with oval framed DU TOIT'S PAN datestamp (Aug 25) in black below. 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' cds of transit at left (Aug 31) and '4' (pence) credit in red manuscript. Reverse with London cds (Sept 25) and 'Hamilton / Bermuda' duplex of arrival (Oct 13). Tiny opening fault to envelope at top but a fine and rare cover.
