    Overprinted with small "G" in 2 Types 1878 (June): Cape 4 d. dull blue optd. "G" in black, Type 15, used on 1878 cover, with complete contents dated Aug 22 at Kimberley, to Emil Burmester in Cape Town mailed at Du Toit's Pan and tied by barred numeral obliterator (6 or 9) in black. Oval framed DU TOIT'S PAN datestamp at left. 'Cape Town / Cape Colony' arrival cds (Aug 28) at top. A few minor imperfections but a scarce cover.
