    Overprinted "G.W." in small (2½ mm.) Roman Capitals 1877 (March 1): Cape 1 d. carmine-red, wmk. CC, optd. 'G.W.' in black, a fine used example of good colour, lightly cancelled by (1877) cds in black. A much scarcer stamp than catalogue value suggests and a fine reference example with the cancel clear of the overprint. Cert. RPSL (1952) Gi = £ 110.
