    Perkins Bacon Printing 1855/63: 1 d. pale rose-red, a used example with good to large margins all round, late usage on 1864 cover from the Bishop of Cape Town to Rear-Admiral Sir Baldwin Walker at Simons Town carried at the local 'drop letter' rate, tied by CGH obliterator in black. Reverse with crested flap with mitre in blue and oval framed CAPE TOWN datestamp (April 16) in red. A scarce rate (mailed prior to the 1d. rate being extended to include eight other towns in December 1864) and a most attractive cover.rn
