    1863 (Feb 13): Entire letter from Genova to Nizza, franked with 1862 40 c. red-carmine with part margin at top, a fresh and fine example tied by "GENOVA 13 FEB 63 5 S", two diff. PD handstamps and French entry "ITALIE 14 FEVR. 63 MENTON", all in red alongside. The stamp was tied in addition by the Gros chiffre '2656' of Nice, an appealing combined cancellation, an interesting shipmail cover.
