    De La Rue Printing 1863/64: 1 s. bright emerald-green, a used example with ample to large margins all round and portion of adjoining stamp at base, lightly tied by CGH obliterator to 1864 cover endorsed 'By R.M.S.Saxon' to London. Reverse with circular CAPE TOWN / CAPE OF GOOD HOPE datestamp in red (June 20). Front and back struck by 'London / Paid' cds's in red (July 22). The cover skillfully and sensibly repaired at lower left and at edges well away from the stamp area.
