    Adelaide printing from Perkins Bacon Plates 1856/58: 6 d. slate-blue, wmk. Large Star, imperforate, a fine used example with large margins all round, used on 1857 envelope (with 'Government of South Australia' red embossed crest on reverse) to Dublin, Ireland tied by obliterator in black with PAID / ADELAIDE S.A. cds in blue alongside (Dec 10). Reverse with Dublin arrival cds (Feb 7, 1858). Manuscript on reverse 'Not at Eccles Street' and front with 'Not Known' and 'Try Batchelor's Walk'. A fine and scarce cover.
