    1852: Laureated 1 d. vermilion, on bluish medium wove paper, a used horizontal pair, positions 25-26, with right hand stamp showing small 'NNY' in 'PENNY' plate variety, clear margins as somewhat roughly separated, used on 1853 Evans correspondence entire letter to Albury tied by bold strikes of "48" numeral obliterators of Tarcutta. Reverse with superb 'Tarcutta / N. S. W.' datestamp (Feb 14) in black. The stamps lifted for checking and hinged back in to place. Scarce and most attractive entire.
