    Ballon Monté No. 55 1871: Entire written to Le Mans, forwarded to St. Malo, franked by 1867 Napoleon laureated 20 c. blue, tied by "PARIS (SC) 6 JANV. 71" despatch cds in red, reverse with arrival cds (Jan 10). This item was flown from besieged Paris on the 55th Ballon 'Duquesne', attractive red cancellation of the Service central. Cert. Roumet (2016) Yvert = € 1'000+.
