    Ballon Monté No. 41 1870 (Dec 6): Entire letter sent stampless to Boulogne Sur Mer, endorsed 'Par Ballon Monté' struck by 'Paris / Rue de Strasbourg' datestamp (Dec 7, 2nd levée) alongside in black. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Général Renault" with Boulogne arrival cds (Dec 13) on reverse. Interesting readable contents - concerning Politics, the Mails, a Captain imprisoned in Hamburg etc. A rare stampless usage and an attractive entire. Signed Baudot Maury = € 500++.
