    Ballon Monté No. 34 1870 (Nov 28): Entire letter to Rennes, endorsed 'Ballon Monté' , the stamp washed off due to the Ballon "Le Jacquard" landing and being lost at sea off the Scilly Islands (this being the first major Ballooning Maritme Accident). The Mail was found by fishermen and the cover is backstamped at FALMOUTH (Dec 2) in black. Extremely fresh and fine for a rescied entire and of great rarity. Certs. E.
