    1871: Postage Due 20 pa. brown and 1 pi. brown (two examples) used on attractive 1876 cover from Ardahan to Istanbul tied by all Arabic double framed ARDAHAN handstamp in black (Coles & Walker fig. 165), with superb strike of double framed all Arabic KARS handstamp in blue (Coles & Walker fig. 79) applied in transit alongside. Reverse with Stamboul arrival cds in black. A charming and extremely rare cover from both the Armenian and Ottoman standpoint.
