    1849: Cérès 40 c. bright-orange, a fine example with brilliant colour and fair to large margins, tied by '641' petit chiffres to cover to St. Paul-les-Dax with "CASTETS-DES-LANDES 10 AVRIL 55" cds alongside, reverse with arrival cds. Some folds but an attractive item, a late single use after the double weight rate was changed from 50 c. to 40 c. in July 1854. Cert. Roumet (2017) Maury 5b = € 1'200.
