    Recess by De La Rue 1867: 'Queen on Throne' Die Proof for 6 d. value in deep violet, imperforate on white thin (almost pelure) paper without watermark, prepared by De La Rue from the Perkins Bacon plates for the 1867 Paris Exhibition. Narrow margins but of vivid deep colour and similar to the Proof offered in the first Purves sale. Rare and particularly fine Proof. Cert. Robson Lowe (1977).rn
