    1832 (March 5): Entire letter from Smyrna to Verviers, Belgium, disinfected in transit at Semlin and struck on reverse with unique two line "Geräuchert viom Contumaz-Amte / zu SEMLIN am ...1832" in (Fumigated by the Quarantine Office). Wax reseals missing and obverse with 'Turquie' origin marking in black. Verviers arrival docketed internally (April 4). Rare and unrecorded handstamp - the sole known usage with this 'typeface'.
