    French Sudan 1894: Registered cover from Kayes to France endorsed 'Correspondence Militaire' and counter-signed, franked by 1894 '0.15' on 75 c. rose and '0.25' on 1 fr. olive, each neatly tied by KAYES / SOUDAN FRANCAIS cds's (April 18) in black. Framed 'R' in red at left and reverse with 'Paris à Rennes' TPO cds (May 22) and arrival cds. Trivial corner repair to envelope at top left but a great French Colonial rarity, the sole recorded usage of the first issue on cover at the correct Military concession rate. Signed Calves.
