    Mail from Greek Post Offices in the Levant 1866: Cover, one side flap missing, sent unpaid from Smyrna to Athens with Greek P.O. 'Smyrna / (Turkiya)' cds of despatch (Nov 19) and manuscript '50' (lepta) red crayon rate alongside. Franked on arrival with 1862/67 5 l. bright green on greenish paper (2) and single 40 l. mauve on greyish tied by Athens datestamps (Nov 21) in black. Reverse with Piraeus transit cds. The 5 lepta adhesives with imperfections but a very scarce cover. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 160.
