    Mail from Great Britain to Greece 1863: Entire letter sent unpaid from London to Athens endorsed 'via France', struck with London datestamp of despatch (Oct 17), with Calais transit cds and thence to Athens via Marseille, franked on arrival with 1862/67 5 l. bright green on greenish and three 80 l. carmine (fine impression and fresh shade) all tied by 'Athens' datestamps (Oct 17, julian) with corresponding '245' (lepta) in red crayon below - rate of 225 lepta for a letter above 7½ but under 15 grams from France + 20 lepta internal charge. Two stamps touched but a charming and attractive entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 139.
