    Part set with seven of total eleven 'Curtiss' advertising labels which are not appropriate for overprinting, all unused marginal examples without gum as produced, incl. two copies from the lower left corner margin with imprint "CURTISS" THE INTERNATIONAL SKYWORD and TIME FLIES; WHEN WILL YOU? respectively. A fresh and fine group. As the first issue for the C.C.N.A could not be delivered for the first flight on Feb. 22, nine of total twenty Curtiss labels had been selected for overprint Scott C2/C10, so the un-overprinted Curtiss labels can be considered as essays.

An extraordinary commercial franking from the back of a large package (five times the normal rate). Exceptional and the largest recorded franking of the 'Curtiss' vignettes. Signed Calves.
