    Austrian Lloyd Office 1850 (July): Entire letter from Beirut to Syra, Greece struck with superb oval AGENZIA DEL LLOYD AUSTRIACO / BERUTTI in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 1). The entire slit for disinfection and charged '20' lepta due in red crayon for local delivery, Syros arrival cds on reverse.

    1876: 20 pa. violet & green, four examples used on double weight 1881 cover to Montrose, USA; the envelope slit for disinfection (probably in Beirut), the adhesives tied by extremely rare SAYDA POSTA SUBESI negative seal handstamps in blue-black ink. Reverse with 'Beiruth / Turquie' cds, Alexandria transit cds, London transit cds (April 18) and New York / Paid All duplex. A charming and rare cover
