Airmail 1917 (Sept): Document with violet type-written information on the 9 Aeroplanes that left Otranto for the Levant (Sept 8) eight having arrived in Florina, Northern Greece with one 'plane still in Valona, Albania. Handstruck "Commandement Des Armées Alliées en Orient / Commndement de la L'Aéronautique" illustrated cachet in violet and signed by both Michaud at left and by General Sarrail in ink. Airmail 1918/19: Proposed 2 fr. stamp for the Orient Flights from Constantinople to Bucharest and thence to France by Train, an unused imperforate sheet marginal block of four "Poste Avion en Orient", on thin white paper with margins all round, fresh and very fine. Airmail 1919 (July 17): Military Flight cover from Constantinople via Bucharest to Paris franked by France Sower 15 c. green, 20 c. dull purple pair and 25 c. blue in a strip of four tied by two strikes of framed handstamp "ARMÉES ALLIÉS EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIÈNNE" struck in black with "Tresor et Postes / 506" cds below (July 17). Reseal Censor tape and oval "Contrôle / Par l'Authorité Militaire" on reverse. Scarce - this flight was delayed due to bad weather and the cover is sold with a printed form detailing this and stating that the flight landed in Bucharest, Romania at 10.30 on July 19 - the form struck with rare framed "ARMÉES ALLIÉS EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIÈNNE" in violet and oval "POSTE-AERIENNE / Aeronautique / Armées d'Orient / Le Capitaine Blandinieres". Airmail 1919 (July-Oct): The Airmail collection of covers/cards (39) and 3 pieces from the Military Constantinople-Bucharest flight service, connecting to Paris by Rail, possibly the Orient Express, with covers (2) sent prior to the service starting, one ironically taking less time than the famous first flight of July 10th, with genuine flown covers cancelled "ARMÉES ALLIÉS EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIÈNNE" from July 14, 24, 28 and 31, August 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28; September 1, 4, 18, 22, 29; October 2, 9, 16 - this stampless with "ARMÉES ALLIÉS EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIÈNNE" in violet, and four spurious covers cancelled after the service was discontinued on October 30.
