    1895/96: De La Rue Imperforate photographic composite Essay for 2½ a. value, with handpainted coloured flags above the central vignette and with the fancy border similarly handpainted in orange-red, on card (90 x 115 mm.) lettered "AA" at top and dated "Nov 18th 95" in ink, marked "Dupl." in ink alongside further manuscript "Impression of Head too light". This Essay was accepted on March 12, 1896. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP., on page 6560.
