Libya 1908: 20 pa. rose-red postal stationery envelope, a used example mailed in Misrata, cancelled on obverse and reverse on arrival with fine strikes of bilingual "BENGHAZI" cds (Sept. 1) in black (Coles & Walker fig. 42). 1929: 1000 pi. brown fiscal, handstamped for postal use, with additional franking 500 pi. green (2) one with paper-fold variety and others, all stamps with usual scissor cuts on parcel card from Trebizonde. The 1000 pi. brown postally used is exceptionally scarce, with only 575 stamps having been overstamped for postal use. The franking is stuck close to the edge, thus has suffered somewhat. 1890: "EXPRES D'ORIENT" imperforate label in black, used on 1890 cover to Gustave Meyer in Harburg, Germany in combination with 1876 10 pa. black on lilac pair and 1884 20 pa. carmine all tied by "Constantinople / Gare Sirkedji" cds's (Feb. 20) in blue. 1863: Tughra, 20 Pa yellow and black / 5 Pi red and black, accumulation of twenty-eight stamps, mostly good margins, including postage due issues. The main value lies in a complete unused series with original gum. There are also some thick paper stamps, all in predominantly very fine condition, only odd fault. 1867/1938: Batch of approximately one hundred entires with a good proportion commercially used including parcel cards, French offices, red crescent charity stamps, colourful advertising and a batch of unutilised postal stationery.
