1859: 5 c. Prussian blue, Second Stone, the superb mint top marginal strip of five, positions 3-7 on the sheet of 55 subjects; tiny thin between first and second stamps, usual slight creasing and minute scissor cut just into fifth stamp, of excellent colour and large part original gum. 1859: "50 centavos blue", error of Transfer for 5 c., position 38 on the second setting sheet which was later punched from the sheet once the error was noticed by the Post Office. A superb used example with close to large margins all round, cancelled by pearled BOGOTÁ oval handstamp in black fortunately leaving the variety clearly showing at base. 1859: 1 p. carmine, a used horizontal strip of three, imperceptibly touched at lower left to large margins, minor diagonal bend but of wonderful vibrant colour, neatly cancelled by large part strikes of BOGOTÁ Opera glass handstamps in black. Exceptionally rare - when offered by Siegel pronounced as the "only used multiple of the first issue 1 peso large than a pair", this being the largest used multiple showing a cancellation; the Goeggel collection did, however boast a manuscript cancelled strip of three (Corinphila, sale 178, 27 Feb 2013, lot 4327). "Tilted Wing", a fine example with large margins all round, used on postcard to Barranquilla with diagonally bisected 3 c. red-brown National issue tied by "CORREO AEREO / CARTAGENA-COLOMBIA" datestamp (Feb 22) in violet and by both CCNA oval handstamp in violet and circular Barranquilla arrival cds in black. A rare usage on a postcard (message states 'Por avion 'Cartagena..') and most attractive. Just two cards known with this franking (the other was ex Goeggel, Corinphila sale 188, May 2014, lot 4190).
