Villers-Cotterêts is known to use bisected stamps to match the tariff change to 25 c. of September 1st, 1871 (see Yvert specialisé 1975, p. 161), signed Calves.

    1872: Entire letters (2) at 70 centimes rate to Norway, April 1872 entire with mixed issue franking of Laureated 1863/71 30 c. brown and 1871/75 Cérès 15 c. bistre and 25 c. blue, Nov 1872 entire with Laureated 30 c. brown and Siège 40 c. orange, both used from La Ferté-sous-Jouarre; one cover with petit chiffres '1196' and the other cancelled with gros chiffres.
