    Romania 1862: 20 c. blue, ten examples, all used on 1867 double weight cover from Paris to Bucharest, Romania tied by mute Paris Stars in black with despatch cds below (Feb 8) and framed 'PD' in red. The cover crossed to denote prepayment and reverse with Vienna transit (Feb 10) and two strikes of Austrian Post Office BUKAREST arrival cds's (Feb 15) alongside. Some file stitching holes away from adhesives and minor stain but a remarkable cover to an unusual destination. Cert. Boule (1999).

Reverse with '6' sgr. credit to Russia and Russian 'Received' datestamp. Re-addressed in cyrillic to Reval with boxed arrival on front without further charge.
