     Sultan Ali bin Hamoud Issue 1906/08: De La Rue Die Proof for the head-plate, engraved by L.V. Phillips in brown on sunken medium wove paper (36 x 42 mm.), with Sultan's portrait only, negative print "SEP 07" and signed off at base "Nov 22 1907" in pencil. A similar Proof illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 6603. Rare and fine.
