1900 (July): De La Rue "Appendix" sheet with no less than twenty-two Imperforate Colour Trials: with 1 d. values (12) in a variety of colour combinations with the vignettes in dull purple, frames in colours ranging from olive, bright blue, red-brown and sepia; with the eventually chosen shades (1 d. dull purple & green and 1 d. dull purple & carmine-rose), being overlapped by top marginal examples of the Colour Trials to denote acceptance by the Protectorate's Postmaster General and ticked with red "Chosen" above; the balance of both the low values either deleted (7) or marked as per the existing colours of the 1897 issue with wonderful high values from 2 s. 6 d. to £ 10 at right. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 5194.
