    Local Surcharges 1885 (Jan-Mar): TEN CENTS on 64 c. red-brown, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 14 x 12½, the unused pair showing variety "Imperforate Horizontally Between" and at base, of good colour, fresh and very fine appearance, unused without gum. A magnificent example of this variety, six pairs possible and recorded, with one housed in the collection of His Majesty King Charles III. A famous rarity.
