'rosa brunastro' from plate I, a fresh and fine adhesive, large to huge margined, tied by boxed ANNULLATO to entire letter from Napoli with French vessel to Civitavecchia, and then further to Roma. Reverse with NAPOLI despatch (June 17, 1858) and ROMA arrival (June 19, 1858) cds, both in red. Attractive, the franking paid the single shipmail rate, while the Papal States' post charged the receiver with the double rate of '16' bajocchi. Sassone = € 1'200.
