1924/40: Baghdad - Haifa Overland Mail Service, Interesting Collection of 42 covers originating primarily from Baghdad, Mosul & Basrah but also from smaller places such as Hinaidi, primarily to Great Britain, but also to Syria, Lebanon, Germany, France and the USA. All bearing diff. markings, imprints or labels of this special Desert Mail service, as 'Overland Mail via Haifa’, bilingual labels in red and 'Overland Mail' imprints on envelope. Includes also a scarce Publicity Envelope of the Nairn Transport Company, type 7 ‘CO LTD’.
