1905 (Sept 14): Picture postcard dispatched without stamps in St. Petersburg. A red postage due doplatit mark and a rare grey postage due label were applied, the non-applicable lines on the label were struck through, and the card was forwarded within the city.
1858: 80 pa. red on blueish paper with close but clear margins all around, tied by framed 'FRANCO BAKEU' on large fragment with black 'RECEPISSE' and docketing number '94' alongside. Several signatures on reverse, a rare stamp.
1848/68: Group of five unused stationery envelopes of the St. Petersburg City post incl. four with the imprinted stamp inverted at lower left (three different sizes) and one at top right. Standard catalogue = $1'200.
1920: Airmail set of four values in mint imperforate pairs (25 c. does not exist imperforate), fresh and fine, large part og. Scarce set, all signed Kessler Edifil 292s/296s = EUR 1'300/Mi = EUR 1'400.

Romanov Tercentenary 1913: Pre-printed Money Transfer Form for gifts to be sent to the Grand Duke Mikhail in honour the Icons of St. Bogoroditsa Feodorovskaya, perfect, never hinged mint condition and rare.
Mussolini Autograph 1941: Original telegramsheet dated '13. NOV 941' bearing a message for Marshall De Bono in Rome, written and signed by the Duce 'Mussolini', a small item of historical interest.
1859/82: Four covers (three from abroad, one internal), all postmarked on reverse with four different variations of the rare arrival mark of the 8th expeditiya in St. Petersburg (Baillie & Peel types 2C2). Superb strikes.
1907/13: Nine covers and postcards from or via Moscow to St. Petersburg showing 'S. Peterburg MSK' postmarks with serial numbers '1' (7) or '2' (2). This mark is related to mail arriving from Moscow by train.

1951: Airmail stamp 500 L. dark green and violet brown, souvenir sheet in mint condition, a few gum bends in top margin Mi = EUR 3'000/Sassone = EUR 4'000.
1923: Yerevan pictorial issue, set of ten unauthorised or bogus proofs in single colours, never hinged, several are marginal copies. There is a full discussion of these stamps in Dr. Ceresa's Handbooks.
Western Army 1919: First Issue, the set of eight lightly hinged, signed Riep, reliable for this issue (Riep prepared the 1925 catalogue of the von Scharfenberg Western Army collection). Only 342 sets of this scarce issue are supposed to be possible.
Lebanon 1898 (Aug): 1 pi. grey-blue stationery letter-card, used example cancelled "Beyrouth" bilingual cds in black with rare Arabic script only arrival of "Baalbek" alongside in black. Unlisted by Coles & Walker. Rare.
1872: Formular card from Berdyansk to Odessa, neatly franked and cancelled 5 k. lilac and black on vertically laid paper, a rare stamp on cover or card Mi = EUR 300 for the stamp.
1905 (May 12): Picture postcard dispatched without stamps in St. Petersburg. A rare blueish postage due label and a postage due doplatit mark were applied at the 1st Expeditiya and the card was forwarded to Warsaw.
1860 (May 1): Part cover with rare "Bonne 1 MAI 60" cds (R2 in Sassone) to Bonneville with arrival mark from the same day. Fine use during the last month of the Sardinian administration of Savoy Sassone = EUR 1'600.

1810 (March 2): Entire letter with scarce departmental mark P 99 P THONON (Vollmeier type 503.7), taxed on reverse, and sent to Geneva. Signed Pothion.
1786: Entire from Leipzig to Riga, sent back with handwritten notion 'Unknown letters are not accepted if not in a cover" (in German). No postmarks on this item.
