    1851: 2 s. yellow on blueish paper and 2 s. scarlet on blueish paper (2), all with vibrant colour and good to large margins all round, tied by clear strikes of the rhomboid lozenge with "PISA 8 / .. / 1853" cds and "PD" in red alongside on attractive envelope (closed tear at bottom), sent to Pontremoli. Sassone lists twelve covers with this franking, a rare and decorative item. Cert. Oliva (2001) Sassone = EUR 48'500+.
