    1905: ¼ g. green postal stationery card used with 1905 Ethiopia '05' on ¼ g. green tied by Addis Abeba cds in black, transferred at Djibouti for onward transmission with Côte des Somalis 1902 15 c. blue & yellow-brown tied by Djibouti cds (Dec 5) and mailed to Zurich (Dec 15). A charming card.

    1905: 1 g. blue postal stationery card used from Addis Abeba, transferred at Djibouti for onward transmission and franked by Côte des Somalis 1902 1 c., 4 c. and 5 c. tied by Djibouti cds's in black, and by superbly struck French Paquebot 'La Reunion A Marseille / L.V.No.4' datestamp in black. Scarce and most attractive.

    1894/1901: Page from an old Maury album with the first issue complete, 1896 Postage Due issue mint and 1902 'Bosta' issues on piece cancelled at Addis Abeba in 1903; together with the album pages (ex Guggisberg collection) showing 1894 issue inter-panneau mint blocks, a cover from Alfred Ilg addressed to A. Michel in Addis Abeba bearing a 1 g. blue, and two perforated Proofs of the first issue in unissued colours; the 1896 1 g. postal stationery card (Harar 13.7.97 pre-cancel) and the 1900/01 issue surcharged in blue used, some later issues on cards etc. A delightful lot.
