    1864: 12 c. blue, four margined example with three huge margins and close at upper left, used on 1865 cover to Buenos Aires tied by oval Montevideo datestamp (Jan 22) in black, also an unusual cover registered cover with 1892 5 c. blue (2, one with perf. fault) and 10 c. orange used to San Marino.

    1858/1883c.: Black album with astonishing sheets showing Proof Impressions of Classic Uruguay Cancellations with oval Arredondo, Carmelo, Nueva Palmira in black or red, the album seemingly prepared between 1879 and 1883 (latest date noted) including Railway Postmarks, Tax markings, numeral obliterators, 'Buzon' envelope types, framed "Franca", "Estafeta Fluvial" datestamps, Official handstamps and negative seal handstamps etc. A most unusual lot.

    1857/1935c.: Officials-the extraordinary and voluminous collection, with 1857 Official cover from the Spanish Legation to Gualeguaychu cancelled by framed "Franca" and oval "Montevideo" datestamp in green, postal stationery for P.O. purposes unused and used in 1870 (two covers), cover with the earliest known usage of overprinted "OFICIAL" issues (an 1882 three colour franking to Caracas sent registered via New York), 1880/82 issue with 1 c. block of 32, 5 c. green in a block of 30, 50 c. black in block of 12, 1 p. blue in blocks of four (3), 1884 1 c. green in blocks of four (5) etc. with multiples throughout and a selection of rather damaged complete sheets; covers abound with 50+ covers showing extraordinary frankings (all Uruguay Official issues are rare on letter). A marvellous collection for further study, in need of re-mounting for an exceptional Exhibit display. Viewing is a pleasure.
