    1871/1999: Collection with 1'000 stamps, nearly exclusively in unused condition, incl. 1871 48 mon, 1872 ½ s. brown and 2 s. orange, all used, later issues unmounted og., many miniature sheets & complete sets, also two national park souvernir sheets. Scott = $ 3'200 following the consignor.

    1871/2000: Collection consisting of 3 printed Lighthouse Albums 1871/1970ca.. The classic period is in mixed condition, with genuine and questionable stamps. From about ca. 1880 stamps often duplicated with various cancellations or different perforations predominately used. From ca. 1896 on also with unused examples. In the following years (from about 1913 on) the unused material prevails, with many better stamps, sets and souvenir sheets. There is a quite high catalogue value. Further, there are two additional albums for sheets, that contain more recent stamps, a few bank notes and some stamp duplication +  a box with even more duplication, modern covers and few Korea. And lastly there are three stamp catalogues issued from 2000 to 2014. This interesting holding with the aspect of a working collection is ideal for further development!

    1876/1970: Substantial dealer stock, comprising three large stock books and three folders, predominately unused, with the bulk of the latter issues never hinged, patchy in the early period with one or two better Koban, a number of sets as the accumulation progresses, some duplication, a quantity of multiples and blocks and numerous minisheets, as well as souvenir cards, condition in the main is very fine with the odd fault in the early stages, valuable and significant assembly.

    French P.O. in Japan, 1875 (1 Feb): Entire letter from Yokohama to Lyon, endorsed "Via Marseille", bearing 1872/73 Cérès 5 c. green, 15 c. bistre and 80 c. rose, three fine and fresh single examples with good perforation, tied by Gros Chiffres '5118' numerals, "YOKOHAMA JAPN" despatch cds in black and framed PD in red alongside, reverse with "Marseille - Lyon" ambulant (20 March) and LYON arrival (21 March) cds's. An appealing shipmail cover.
