    1856, Diligencia, 60 c. blue, an incredible complete plate reconstruction of 35 positions, the various shades from pale blue to indigo exhibited, the variety "cracked" plate very evident on positions 27 and 28, margins and condition is quite mixed, many are cut into, although there are two attractive marginal examples and one or two finer, some faults, imperfections and cleaned cross cancels, several signed to back and or with expert marks; very difficult to assemble and this reconstruction was built upon and completed from the famous "Dr. Bustamante" and "Dr. Gene Scott" exhibits; a rare assembly, thought to be less than three reconstructions of this iconic value in existence; an important work. Cert. C.H. Rocha (2009) for the side marginal example and Dr. Fulpius (1948) for one other single.     1866: 10 c. green, a single example used on 1876 entire letter from Montevideo to Bordeaux tied by "12" numeral obliterator in black, endorsed "per Equateur" and struck with octagonal "MONTEVIDEO / PAQ.     1897 (Sept 26): Surcharged "PAZ / 1897", Proofs of the overprint only: imperforate blocks of sixteen (4 x 4) in deep blue and in pale blue; on medium and thin white wove paper respectively; three imperf. blocks of eighteen (6 x 3) showing the blue surcharge doubled (2) or tripled; imperf. blocks of twelve (6 x 2) and twenty (4 x 5) with the overprint struck in red on thin white wove paper.     1931: Post Office Box Rental form, with 12 peso Arms indicia printed in black on yellow card (154 x 115 mm.) cancelled by "Officina de Entrada y Clasificacion" Montevideo datestamps. Reverse with rates for P.O. Boxes: 4½ pesos for three months, 7 pesos for six months and 12 pesos for a year, this card being for the full year rate. Rare and unlisted in Higgins & Gage.     First Official Experimental Flight 1921 (March 22): Headed envelope franked with 25 c. airpost stamp with dark blue overprint and National postage 5c. tied by machine cancellation "MONTEVIDEO MAR 21 1921" to Rocha, backstamped '22 MAR 21" on reverse.
