    Lot# : 1382 Uruguay

1859/1910: Fine collection from early issues with eleven copies of the popular 1859 Montevideo "Sun" issue, mostly in very fine condition with signatures Diena and other experts. The 1864 issue is also well represented, the 15c overprint from 1866 is present bearing a double overprint. The surprisingly difficult to find later issues from 1866 are well represented with good shades and a range of postmarks. The 1910 Centenary of independence can be documented with a single strike die proof on medium thick paper. A pleasing collection for the specialist.
