    1885: Essay by De La Rue for proposed General Revenue 20 piastre value (this value not utilised in the issued set of six of February 1887), stamp size on tracing paper with perforations in pencil and outstanding star and pyramid design in green with value tablets and legends picked out in Chinese white. An outstanding Essay dated in pencil manuscript at top "Dec 18, 85" and '10' in red at lower right. A splendid testament to the De La Rue artist, unique. Cert. Gregory Todd AIEP (2022)

    1867/1958: Collection in two volumes displaying a good range of stamps and entires with some better Airmail included. There is a fine range throughout with a beautiful Hotel HELOUAN cover with a very fine 1925 'Geographers Conference' set and many other attractive entires.

    1841/42: Correspondence of entire letters (28), some with enclosures, all addressed from Atfe to Sonnino in Alexandria, all with headed "Col Rais..." endorsements at top, with named Postal Couriers (see Biolato handbook on "Posta Europea" for more information on these manuscript endorsements which were the precursor of the Posta Europea service); some with "Con Courriere...", some with "Con Cavalli.." (horse) endorsements, some disinfected by fumigation. A scarce and most unusual group.

    1900/1935: Accumulation of over 150 picture postcards, many commercially used, including a significant proportion of  topographical cards, as well as depicting people and classic scenes. Cards relating to the Suez Canal are also present as are early lithographical prints. A most interesting lot of this popular area.
