    1857 (Jan 13): Entire letter from Diekirch to Vianden bearing 1856-59 10 c. grey-black, fresh and fine with good to large margins all round, tied by three-ring mute obliterator in black, "DIEKIRCH 13 JANV. 57" despatch cds in black alongside. An appealing cover. Signed Roumet.

    1850 (June 7): Cover from the domaine privé royal de Berg in Mersch to Trier, Prussia bearing 1853 1 sgr. rose, fresh and fine with large to huge margins all round, tied by circular mute obliterator with six bars in black used only in Mersch, MERSCH despatch cds and framed PD in black alongside, reverse with LUXEMBOURG transit cds and boxed TRIER arrival datestamp of the same day. One backflap missing, nevertheless an appealing cover correctly franked for the first weight rate in the first rayon of the German-Austrian Postal Union. Signed Goebel and FSPL.

Reverse with Trier transit cds, Mainz - Köln ambulant and distribution (Jan 3) cds. Backflap missing, vertical file fold split at base, nevertheless a desirable item to Prussia.

    1866 (Aug 19): Cover from Luxemburg to Beaune bearing 1859 Arms 40 c. red-orange imperf., a fresh and fine left marginal example with large to huge margins in a deep shade, tied by LUXEMBOURG despatch cds in black, framed PD in black and indistinct French entry cds in red-brown alongside, reverse with Paris-Auxerre ambulant and BEAUNE arrival (Aug. 20) cds's. Light file folds well away from the adhesive, an appealing cover with the highest value of this issue, paying correctly the single letter rate to France.

    1878 (June 4): Double rate Registered envelope from the postal administration in Luxemburg to Berlin bearing a mixed franking of 1865 Arms 20 c. brown with coloured roulette and 1875 12½ rose perforated in a block of four, a fine and fresh multiple, the design shifted to the top right, tied by clear strikes of  LUXEMBURG despatch cds with information strike and framed RECOMMANDÉ alongside. In Germany a "Vom Ausland / über Bahnpost 12 / (Pagny - Metz) / Eingeschrieben" railway registration label for registered mail from abroad was added to the obverse. Reverse with distribution cds. Vertical file fold well away from the franking but through the label, nevertheless a most interesting and attractive combination cover.
