    Italian Colonies - Africa Orientale Italiana 1940 (May 24): Registered Airmail envelope from Asmara to Addis Abeba, bearing the extremely rare AOI 1938 20 l. dark green and Posta Aerea 25 l. blue and 3 l. carmine in mixed franking with Eritrea 1931 30 c. olive & lilac in a vertical pair, tied by "ASMARA CENTRO ACCET. RACC. B" despatch cds, registration label alongside. Lightest vertical file fold and with philatelic motivation, nevertheless a rarity of this colony with bthe 20 l. & 25 l. adhesives unkown on cover to Sassone. Signed Sorani, cert. Colla (1996).

    Italian Colonies - Eritrea 1926 (May 22): Money Transfer Order from Asmara to Milano, bearing 1924 Italian Segnatasse per Vaglia with ERITREA overprint 50 c. violet, this one showing variety: double overprint and 3 l. carmine, tied by "ASMARA VAGLIA B" despatch cds with "MILANO 10 VIA F. CASATI" arrival cds (July 17) alongside. Reverse with boxed "ASMARA TITOLARE" handstamp. A fresh MTF, the only known usage of the 50 centesimi double imprint variety on MTF. Signed A.
