    1897: Dowager second printing 3 a. chrome yellow on wmk. paper with thin whiter gum in an unused block of four of vibrant colour, two hinge remnants on upper and lower pair with large part of thin original gum (some ageing), horizontal perf. line slighty shifted, otherwise of fresh and fine appearance. Only few multiples of the second printing are believed to exist. Chan 24 S. Gi. = £ 7'200.

    1914/19: Junk 3 c. blue-green pair and 7 c. violet pair on 1918 registered cover to Norway tied by YIYANG HUN datestamps in black with fine strike of registration cachet at lower left. Reverse with Peking cds (Feb 22) and Harbin cds (Feb 25); thereafter with British and Russian Censor Reseal strips at sides and Kristiansund arrival (Aug 19). A five month journey time due to a combination of World War and Revolution. An attractive and scarce cover. Illustrated in Edition D'Or XLV on page 36.
