    Souvenir Card for Delegates from the ten South American countries, with November 1910 set of nine values complete and January 1911 5 c. rose carmine & black, together with circular "1er. CONGRESO POSTAL CONTINENTAL - SUDAMERICANO - MONTEVIDEO" cachet in violet at left. Minor tears and edge wear to card, away from adhesives, but a rare and appealing item.

    Essay for the vignette of Mercury with Letter & Posthorn as used for the issued 5 c. value hand-painted on thick card in brown, silver, grey and white (147 x 225mm.), together with small stamp size bromide photograph of the vignette at lower right. Fine and most unusual, unique.

Die Proof in issued colours on card paper with large blank surround, Plate Proofs / Colour Trials in a variety of different colours for both frames and vignette (156 incl. multiples), issued stamps with study of watermarks in blocks, complete sheet of 50 (requisition number 29) signed by Emilio Barbaroux, Uruguay's Foreign Minister; complete mint sheet (requisition number 31) and complete used sheet (requsition number 1). A marvellous lot for further continuation.
