    1901 (Jan 1): First Day Covers of the new issue and the new Century, 1 d. carmine on  "Canterbury Jubilee" envelope tied by "CH'CH JUBILEE EXH'N" datestamp in black; further FDC with 1 d. carmine tied by full "Christchurch" cds, and a third example with printed "Inauguration" spellt "Inaugeration" on cover with four ring Christchurch cds. A rare trio.

    1901: The collection with Insert stationery cards (2) cancelled at Wellington on First Day of issue and century, mint example of a privately produced card commissioned by Sir Joseph G. Ward, the Postmaster General, with imprint at base; card as issued used on First Day in Wellington and sent to London (rare thus);  and a superb used block of 12 (6 x 2) all cancelled at "Waimate" on first day and a block of 16 (4 x 4) cancelled at Kirikiriroa on first day, the latter believed to be the largest known multiple in used condition.
